Here are some of the projects I've worked on:

• a sideline to semiconductor fabrication: creating a highly sensitive flux monitoring system working for Dr. Robert Cook and Dr. Chris J. Palmstrøm in the Materials Science Department at the University of Minnesota.
• in the Underwater Acousitcs Group, run by Dr. Roger Bland. They're developing a device to measure water current to very high accuracy. This has an immediate application for such projects as the USGS's goal of measuring the net flow of water out of the Delta into the San Francisco Bay.
• The issue of women in science, and why women sometimes leave or stay in a technical career.
• at the Scientific Research Lab, Ford Motor Company, summer 1995. I worked in the Computational Physics Lab with Dr. Joanne Woestman.
• The great poet Psappha (Sappho) who lived in 6th century BCE Greece.
