I took a lot of pictures of clouds. This is a great shot of the "famous Arctic stratus deck". The Arctic is pretty much covered with a low (around 3000 feet or 1000 m) stratus cloud layer in summer. Here on Svalbard the clouds were routinely at about 700 or 800 m, which happened to be the height of the "notches" in the mountains (from erosion) which at first made me think the clouds had somehow been eroding the tops of the mountains away!
