A1 is the name of the main freeway (the 2-3 lanes in each direction, full on freeway). Here Steve is demonstrating the absurdly small "main route" to the freeway which we had to take out of this little hill town. I think it was a 10 point left turn for us to get down that road! Luckily, it's senso unico (one way)!
